    About "The Magical Poet"

    About the site:

The magical poet is an organization which seeks a strong heartfelt interest in promoting poetry and cultural and discovery creativity in people's talents and moulding of people broken dreams with poetry.

The magical poet is setting a range closeness for poetry to the people to set on the line of knowing and or of constructing nation problems with poetry writing and aiming to sit people in lovey-dovey poetry.

    Poetry has philosophers oftentimes described;

They defined poetry as Writing that formulates a concentrated imaginative awareness of experience in language chosen and arranged to create a specific emotional response through meaning, sound, and rhythm.

In a time in which we are taking care to emphasize traditionally underrepresented narratives of groups of people often and often, I believe it is poetry’s ability to relay awareness of experience that cements its role in society at large. In addition to arts programs being severely underfunded, there is also a lack of diversity.

The magical poet focuses on relaying experience in a highly salient way to the society, there is great potential for it to be utilized as a means to build empathy and bridge gaps of the understanding between people who come from differing backgrounds.

In this way, poetry can be a vehicle for messages of
social justice. However, this is not to say the sole purpose of poetry is to serve as social commentary.

Poetry is a “Compared to the writing of poetry, few other human activities take place so widely, even a tacit consensus as to why we do them, what good they do, [and] what function they serve.” Poet Daisy Fried expands upon the idea: “But politically-alert poetry is no more intrinsically useful than any other poetry…the kind of poetry written to make us feel better, for example,” along with poet and professor Major Jackson: “The function of poetry is that it does not have any function beyond its own construction and being-in-the-world.”

These statements hint implicitly at an idea, I often hear musicians invoke when discussing their motivations for creating art: that art is truly valuable in and of itself irrespective of any concept of role or “purpose”. The mere fact that any person moving about the world can stumble upon their art and recognize something in it that reminds them of their own humanity; this act of reciprocal aesthetic experience enriching the lives of people alone makes creating art worthwhile for many artists of varying forms. Another the idea I find implicit in these statements is that, while poetry can be an effective means for bringing people's attention towards and better conceptualizing injustices, it can also play a dual-
role in helping them cope with such injustices. Unfortunately, a good number of social justice issues are not able to be solved overnight, much less within a few years. In this way, the cathartic role of poetry is even more important than a social commentary one. So perhaps there is no singular role for poetry. Rather, poetry is meant to be their companion throughout every stage of societal awareness. This is evidenced by poetry’s multi-faceted ability to inspire them to action, highlight a previously unknown narrative, make them think critically, or simply to allow them to feel their humanity.

    TALK ON CULTURE

Yoruba Culture is the art and custom that characterise a particular society or nation. A lot of Nigerians, especially the youth have desisted from the Nigerian traditional way of life due to influences from
    external bodies and ignorance.

The magical poet seeks to promote and protect our culture to the society and the youth.

    The magical poet urged in promoting the culture to the;
    1) Teenagers and youth should be encouraged to put on native clothes and eat native food.

Clothes such as aso oke, sanyan, kampala, kembe and the likes to beautify and promote and expand our culture to the world through dressing.

A bloodless wearing agbádá is a shame to the Yoruba youth.
The clothes which they abhor is what another country wanted to put on showcase the symmetry in wearing the clothes in their country.
Why is then haywire with the Yoruba youths which spot them in the idea of not wearing their heritage?

    2) Youth should desist from practising and imitating the culture of other people.

This usually caused by the excess viewing of Hollywood movies.
And usually caused by having strong interest in learning the Bloodless language, while they desist from learning and knowing their own language and never wanted to learn or know it.

    4) Yoruba is not taught in the schools.

The Yoruba language is not being taught in elementary and secondary schools, even in the tertiary institution.

And these unaware actions has made Yoruba youths and teenagers disvalued their culture and language.
While in many countries, Yoruba words are used in the Afro-Brazilian religion known as candomblé.

And it is also used in many other Afro-American religions in the Americas and the Caribbean.

    5) youth should learn to watch native Nigerian movies.
Yes, learning how to watch Yoruba movies will boost the think tank of the youth in speech and utilizing it in fanbulation.

    TALK ON MUSIC

Music is an essential part of life because of the expression it allows people to have, its
    entertainment, and its
    therapeutic ways for the world.

Music is an outburst of the soul for musicians. For example, if a drummer had experienced a difficult heartbreak, and wanted to take his anger out on something, he could not make music on drums....

However, the music industry has always attracted critics with some claiming that music classes are a waste of time and that the major the aim of music is to enhance life enjoyment.

The magician poet senses that music can be much more than just sweet melodies and dances can be more than just good moves.

Music and dances play vital roles in the social, cultural, and political lives of people or communities....

Music has made to link violet and deviant behaviour to music. The key social issues likely to arise in the next century due to violence and sexuality in today's music are an increased in promiscuity in our society, an increased in crime rate, and decreased of respect among people.

Yoruba culture music is a music that broadly and grows how youth think, acts and generally good for the society to learn and behaviour.
